80's Chicks hair crimper commercial

oh man, the 80s was a decade to be reckoned with. i may have been born as that era was coming to an end, but believe me there was nothing quite like it. case in point, the hair crimper. and 80s commercials. and clothes. and music. and video quality.

Andy Goldsworthy: a little tribute

last year i came across a land artist by the name of Andy Goldsworthy in my history of art class. all of his stuff strikes a chord with me. what he manages to do with nature is truly amazing and inspiring. so much that he inspired me to do some of my own land art. maybe i'll upload those pictures later on. for now, here's a little slideshow that i made showcasing some of my favourite pieces. the song is "Towards the Sun" by Alexi Murdoch, and i think it totally fits.

Mad TV - Wynonna Judd Drunk Driver

so, yesterday ottawa had its first earthquake in quite some time and let me tell you, boy did people over do it. businesses shut down, people were running everywhere, and facebook was flooded with statuses that read "tell all your loved ones you love them". all for a 5.0 magnitude earthquake that lasted all but 30 seconds. people make me laugh. so does this mad tv clip.

Operator Please - Logic

the first post

SO...the first thing i want to share with you is a little band from Australia called Operator Please. They just recently released a new album titled "Gloves" and i must say, it's a pretty solid little piece of work. they're categorized as a baroque pop band, or at least they WERE before this album. but i think their sound has changed a great deal since their last release. almost every song on "Gloves" causes me to want to dance. that's a good thing, right?

here's their new song, Logic:
